Overview and History
Territorial Hall was built in 1958. In 1999, it was expanded with an addition that
added 73 rooms housing for 144 guests. In total, Territorial is capable of housing 695 guests. Territorial is part of a four residence
hall complex on adjacent blocks known as the "Superblock." The hall is a few
blocks from Stadium Village, a commercial and eating establishment area. Within
easy walking distance are Williams Arena (basketball), Mariucci Arena (hockey),
the new Sports Pavilion, University Recreational Center and Natatorium (swimming).
The East Bank is home to programs such as Mathematics, Engineering, Science,
Women's Studies, Psychology, Architecture, and Language Studies among others.
From Territorial, the buildings that house these programs are easily accessible
by foot, bike, and the free campus shuttle system. The rooms in Territorial consist of double occupancy rooms. The dining room
for Territorial is located in Centennial Hall and is connected by a tunnel.
