Overview and History
Comstock is a six-story hall housing 561 guests. It is adjacent to the east bank of the Mississippi River. The East Bank is home to programs such as Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Women's Studies, Psychology, Architecture, and Language Studies among others. The buildings that house these programs are in close proximity to Comstock and are easily accessible by foot, bike, and the free campus shuttle system. Its central location allows access to Coffman Memorial Union, the Weisman Art Museum and the central campus area. The pedestrian bridge to the West Bank campus is close to the hall as well. Comstock Hall, built in 1940, is named for Ada L. Comstock, Dean of Women at the University of Minnesota in the early 1900s.

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
