Overview and History
Bailey Hall is the residence hall on the St. Paul campus. Named for Clyde Harold Bailey, former dean of the College of Agriculture, the hall was built in 1959 with additions completed in 1981. Bailey can accomodate 505 guests in double rooms, limited singles, or four-person suites (suites have separate bedrooms with a shared living area).

One of the special aspects of Bailey Hall is Rock Bottom, a community and social space with a dance floor, sound system, large screen TV, kitchen, and a lounge space. A variety of activities are held in Rock Bottom including Café Bailey, karoke, movie nights, sports parties, dances, and other fun social activities. Bailey Hall has recently updated the main lounge area in the building. The Upper Lounge provides a fabulous space for individual studying or group projects, as well as a social space with a big screen TV with cable. The Lower Lounge has games including pool, air hockey and a foosball tables. The Lower Lounge has a full kitchen and vending services.

Bailey Dining
The guests of Bailey Hall have the option of dining in the Dining Center, which is conveniently connected to Bailey through the tunnel system. The Dining Center is also connected to the St. Paul Student Center through the same tunnel system called the Gopher Way. The St. Paul Student Center has a convenience store, post office, game room with bowling alley, theater, bookstore and Copies on Campus. Using the Gopher Way guests of Bailey Hall can find their way to Magrath Library and several academic and administrative buildings.

St. Paul Campus
The St. Paul campus has often been described as a small, private college setting within the University where it is easy to meet students, faculty, and staff in a friendly, more personal atmosphere. This campus houses the following colleges: Natural Resources, Biological Sciences, Human Ecology, Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine.

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
